When importing your repositories, we analyze all the files and add a line impact score based on the work done. However, often companies do not want all files or directories to be scored. For example, many will ignore documentation and configuration files. These files can provide less impact and can skew the values between developers.
With ignore masks you can add any branch, directory, filename, or file extension and it will not be scored.
To set up your ignore masks:
- From the dashboard, Click on your repository
- Go to the Settings > Ignore Masks
- Select the type and enter the name of the file or location to be ignored.
By ignoring files you are reducing the noise while reviewing code, saving you valuable time.
